"The Looter Almost Gets Killed"

[INSTAR 01 EPISODE 01] - Released December 2019

The first ever episode of "The Looter". Production on this one started back in Summmer of 2019 and took 6 months to complete. I was fresh out of school and had a lot of grand ideas paired with no clues on how to properly execute them.

It was meant more as a proof of concept for the mixed-media style, rather than an actual episode of a larger series- At the time I was still working on an (admittedly awful) comic version of The Looter and this would have served more as supplementary material for that.

During and after production I realized how the work on this had been a million times more fun than toiling away at a longwinded, exposition laden comic that, let's face it, nobody would have ever read. The yellow guy, "Serogg Klogg" was a holdover from the comic, in which he was originally planned to be a hopping, one-legged mercenary that would serve as a permanent antagonist to Looter. I think killing him off in the first episode of the cartoon was an act of defiance toward myself, a warning to never go back to making Looter comics.

As with all subsequent episodes I started work on the next immediately after having pressed the upload button!
